Learn To Skate/Fundamental Skating Skills

Our LEARN TO SKATE/FUNDAMENTAL SKATING SKILLS program focuses on the fundamentals of skating in a positive and fun environment. Children will learn how to stand up, build confidence on skates, balance, glide forwards and backwards, stride and stop. We will use fun and exciting games to teach students. Students will be broken into groups that will permit training in small groups depending on skill level. This will allow for a lot more 1 on 1 attention. Children must wear skates, CSA approved helmet with cage.

 Fundamental Hockey Skills Program

This program is designed for players looking to build a strong fundamental base of hockey skills. All players participating in this program will be educated on the fundamentals of hockey with a wide range of inventive methods and positive knowledge about their own personal development and also essential information on the game of hockey itself.  This program is designed for players from 6 to 8 years of age for Level 1 and 9 to 11 years for Level 2..

 Stickhandling, Shooting and Scoring

This program is developed for players that want to learn how to stickhandle, pass and shoot to score! Every hockey player wants to score goals and this is the camp that skaters will develop the confidence and understand what it takes to put the puck in the back of the net. Scoring has become its own skill in the game of hockey and learning what the newest techniques and ideas are will only help the up and coming or the want to be goal scorer! This program is designed for players from 9 to 12 years of age.

 Goalie Development Program

This weekly program is designed to help all calibre of goalies. Goalies registered in this program will be receiving weekly training. RHP has low student to instructor at a 2:1 and 3:1 ratio which is a benefit to all goaltenders. The program will incorporate fundamental goalie movement and techniques as well as Hockey Canada 10 scoring situations.
