These 9 week program has been designed for defencemen to develop both individual and tactical skills. Our goal is to create a complete defenceman, thus enabling the player to be able to play with confidence at both ends of the ice. The program will cover 1vs1’s, 2vs1’s, 2vs2’s, skating (forwards, backwards, foot speed, pivoting, edge control, etc.), gap control, offensive attack, and defensive zone coverage. Our highly experienced staff will focus on break out scenarios, and how to read the play. We will also be covering offensive blue situations and what to look for offensively when you are on the blue line in the opponents zone.

This 9 week program is designed to teach fundamental hockey skills to your daughter, in order to ensure they are ready for their first years of hockey. Each player will receive instruction that will increase their confidence on the ice and familiarize them with all aspects of the game. Our lesson plans are designed to be FUN for all participants and feature great instructor-to-participant ratios in order to ensure proper support for all players!

We believe that perfection and excellence comes through repetition and as such all subsequent sessions while following the same basic program outline and structure will focus on, with new drills and other small variations, the same basic course outline.

Please note that players enrolled in the Intro to Hockey program are expected to meet minimum skill and ability requirements. Participants MUST be able to stand and propel themselves around the ice as well as be able to fall and get back up to a standing position without assistance.

This 9 Week program will focus on addressing key areas involved in shooting that we believe will help our participants take their offensive game to the next level! Through this program, players will develop proper shooting fundamentals including proper hand placement, weight transfer and follow through. As well, they will work on the different types of backhand shots which often do not get practiced enough, wrist shots, and quick-release shooting; all while keeping proper fundamentals in mind.
