Megan Potvin

My name is Megan Potvin and I am currently studying Human Kinetics at Laurentian University. Born and raised in Sudbury, I am a graduate of Lockerby Composite School where I participated in school sports such as flag football, soccer, and hockey throughout all four years. I also grew up playing with the Sudbury District Girls Association, but more specifically for the Sudbury Lady Wolves. Throughout my eleven years of playing hockey with the association, I learned many life skills as well as great hockey tips to pass on to younger generations. In the last two years, I had the opportunity to be a part of the Midget AA and Pewee AA Lady Wolves coaching staff. This role allowed me to learn a different aspect of the game, understand the importance of building relationships with the players, other coaches and parents as well as how to foster skill development and play. From this experience, I have reaffirmed my love of the sport and enjoy working with children to help them learn to love the game as much as I do.
